Anne Welcomes New Hospice Money | |
After lobbying Government Ministers Anne Snelgrove MP (Parliamentary Private Secretary to Patricia Hewitt) is delighted to announce an extra £340,000 NHS grant for Prospect Hospice. Anne said:“Prospect Hospice is a highly valued part of our community, and I have been committed to lobbying on its behalf for some time. This Government money will enable the conversion of a multi-bedded room to create four new single en-suite bedrooms. I am delighted the funding will help provide better respite care to people in Swindon with cancer.” Anne spoke at Prospect’s Light up a Life service at the St Joseph’s Catholic College in Swindon on December 2nd last year and visited earlier in 2006 when the board of trustees agreed that bed capacity at the hospice would increase to fourteen.
