Anne Snelgrove welcomes plan for new school site

Today Anne Snelgrove welcomed the plans put forward by the Commonweal School Governing Body for funding for a new school on the existing site.

Anne’s statement comes in response to the Chair, David Brown’s letter to the council and the associated short paper summarising two options.

Anne said: “Commonweal deserves better and I fully support the efforts being made to find a way to put a new school on the site. David [Chair of Governors] says complacency is not in the vocabulary of the staff, students or the Governing Body of the School and he is absolutely right. I welcome the school’s intention to engage the whole local community with these ideas.”

The school now expects a meeting with the Council to discuss the plans.
