MP Calls for Stronger Climate Change Bill

Anne Snelgrove MP for South Swindon called this week in a House of Commons speech for a stronger Climate Change Bill to include higher energy efficiency standards for public buildings.

Anne said: "The Government need to take a lead in showing how those targets will be achieved. If we want a 60 per cent. reduction in carbon, we will have to take radical steps to improve the efficiency of the way we live, particularly how we build our buildings. If we want an 80 per cent. reduction in carbon—that is supported by many in this House and many of my constituents—we will have to take even more radical steps."
